Oakland A's vs. Seattle Mariners

Today was Deirdre's class fieldtrip (along with all the other 4th graders) to the Oakland A's game in Oakland. It was hot, we had great seats (leftfield) and just had fun! I took alot of pictures (what a shock, right?)............so here you go! Oh ya, the A's totally LOST!!!! A's-1, Mariners-6!

Memorial Day in Elk Grove

Today we spent Memorial Day in Elk Grove. We went to visit my brother, his wife and daughter. Dan joined us too! So, we made a lunch (last night mom and I put it together).......fried chicken, potato salad and regular salad. Also had some chocolate chip cookies to snack on. The park near my brother's house was neat. It had a great area that was covered with several tables underneath and the play area was just awesome........even had a area with this huge water spout thing (kinda like at Six Flags Marine World) so people can get drentched! Then we went back to their house and visited...........I actually played Wii bowling!! Here are some of todays pictures..............



Okay, before we even got to leave town, we happened to get stuck on the street that got cut off for the motorcycle parade for Memorial Day (I am not sure what they really call it).

2009 Awana Potluck

Last night was out Awana Potluck and leader awareds. Lots of good food and a fun time. I got my 4 year service pin and mom got her 6 year service pin. Deirdre wants to go on to earn the Timothy Award just like some of her friends did this year. So, until next year............
