Steven Curtis Chapman Concert

Tonight our church welcomed Steven Curtis Chapman! It was a wonderful night of worship and testimony as Steven shared his family's loss of their daughter, Maria Sue. We laughed and we was awesome!! Here are some pictures I took just before my battery died!

On a more serious note..........

Go Steven! Go Steven!!
I love this guitar..........
Giving thanks to the Lord.......
Here he is talking to us about how his fanily is doing now.
He has so much energy..........and it shows!!

The cross in our church sanctuary...............looks beautiful!
The line at 4:30pm..............they opened the doors at 6pm.
This guy is just good!!
And he kept going and going!
Singing "Cinderella".......a song he thought he could never sing again after the tragedy that hit his family May 21st, 2008.

Crazy Hair Night!!

Tonight at Awana, it was Crazy Hair Night. It is quite obvious that I am not that creative in getting Deirdre's hair to go crazy! But I gave it a shot and this is what we ended up with!

Me and Deirdre..........and her extra hair clips on her fingers??
It was the best I could do...................I tried kiddo!
Wonder if she even like it?
The back of her head............I thought I did an okay job. Gotta work on a better idea for next Crazy Hair Night! Feel free to send me your ideas................LOL!!!!!!

Good Bye Summer

One last time we went to Lake Kirkwood to retrieve our family canoe and bring it home for the winter. So, we took some time to let the girls play in the lake and go in the canoe. Deirdre chose to just play in the water and Emily did both. My brother Carl joined us and I ended up with what I thought was allergy issues, actually being a nice cold!! Enjoy the pictures!!
Deirdre taking her time getting in the water!
The girls waving to grandma and Uncle Carl off in the canoe (you can't see them here).
Laying in the sun.
My brother Carl and my mom.
Me and Deirdre (yes I was sick here, but tried not to let it get the best of me).

Deirdre, Lake Kirkwood and Two Sentinels.
Throwing rocks in the lake.
Miss Emily.............looking for the perfect skipping rock!
I have no idea what they are doing here. Was a cute photo op!
Mom and Carl in the canoe.
So, we are done until next year!! The canoe will have a new coat of paint, new paddles (ours are warpped) and even have the canoe personalized!
