Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We had family over as usual, took the family picture (and even got the dogs in) and chatted with Dan while he is on the road (tonight he is in Phoenix.........miss you!). Here are a few pictures from today for all of you. I will try to add the whole family picture once I copy it from my mom.

My Friend Gave Me a Blog Award or Two!

With much love and thanks to my longtime friend, Kim Phillips, she gave me two awards for my blog! I know there are far more creative people than myself..........but my blog is just filled with photos and little details on thing my family and I have been doing. So, I appreciate that my friends can think I am creative..............LOL!!


And to be honest..........I totally had a red-headed blonde moment and forgot what this award meant! So, if Kim can do me a favor and tell me again what this one means...........that would be great! Then we can all have a good laugh over it!!!!

My Weird Kid!!

When most little girls play dress up with the pretty dresses..........mine is busy dressing up her toy dog and getting her "bling-bling on"! Where any of this came from I have no idea. I am not sure I ever did anything this weird, but I am sure my parents can tell some stories! So this is what my kid had some fun doing tonight..........

Visit with Santa

Yes, it is really that time of the year! Deirdre requested to go see Santa! She asked for a D-Rex dinosaur and "Shark Boy and Lava Girl" dvd. Usually the Santa at our mall is not a very pleasant one, but this Santa is awesome! I think this picture turned out just great!

O' Christmas Tree

As you can see..............we have started our holiday decorations! Today while Dan was visiting, he helped me get all our Christmas stuff down from my attic. So, we have 2 trees in our living room (both table top trees), one is our family tree in our living room window and then there is the tree for Deirdre. She had lots of fun decorating it her way............Deirdre style for sure! We were definately ready for a little Christmas cheer! Tis the season...................

Visit to Dan's

This weekend, Deirdre and I went to Dan's. Now that Deirdre is over her Scarlet Fever and can go out again, we just really got away! Dan had this wonderful popcorn basketball gadget and it occupied Deirdre for quite sometime. We both got baskets with the popcorn! There is even video proof that Deirdre did it!

The Sound of Music??

With Deirdre now in the 4th grade, she can learn an instrument at school. She picked the flute and since I used to play it myself, she has the chance to learn too! I am glad I kept my flute all these years, thinking that one day I may start playing again. Can I call this the "Sound of Music"??

Fun at the Republican Headquarters!

That some night (Halloween), me, my mom and Deirdre decided to stop by where Carl spends alot of his time every election! We got some McCain/Palin buttons, Yes on 8 buttons and just took a look at how it was all set up. To top off our night, a car with 4 adults (yes adults) decided to show their immaturity and steal McCain signs from the front of the headquarters while we were there! As my mom said told my brother, "You run pretty fast for a fat boy!". Obviously these guys were not from the same political party, but was pretty childish in my opinion. So, these are the pictures I took last night............and with my buddy Sarah Palin!!

Trick or Treating in Elk Grove
