Christmas Baking

Oh yes! It is that time of the year, time to bake! Just love the smell of goodies baking in th house. Have to be careful not to snack on the goodies..........the sugar cookies are for Santa. (Not all of them, only some) I also made my usual marbled brownies. The last thing I need to bake is the gingerbread cookies and nake the truffles.

Let It Snow!

Here it is...............the first snow of the year for Mt. Diablo! Wishing we could get some since it is so close.........maybe I need to go visit Santa and tell him we want some sow for Christmas. What fo you think?

No More Target!!

In light of the Christmas season, my mom and I were at Target today to get a few things. We noticed the Salvation Army Bell Ringer sitting away from Target facing the movie theatre. My mom went to put a dollar in the container and she asked why she was not in front of the store. We were upset to find out they were not allowed to do their good work infront of the store as they always do. It makes no sense for them to have a "public forum" and the Salvation Army can't be there to do their job?????? Shame on Target!! They just lost us as regular customers! The Salvation Army does good work and very good things in this country and it is a disgrace to see a store as big as Target do this! I will gladly shop at other stores and give them my business! So, 2 big thumbs down for Target...........

Heavenly Harmonies

Today for all 4 services at our church, Deirdre's choir, Heavenly Harmonies, did their Christmas program. Here are some pictures..............the services were at 8am, 9:45am, 11:30am and then tonight at 6pm! Talk about a long day...........she had to be at the church by 7:15am!! But it was worht making myself get up at 5am to shower and then drag her out of bed to get ready too. Please be sure to watch the short video clips of each song!

My New Job!

For those of you who don't know, I am now working a second job. The store is "Just Teach It" in Brentwood. While it is much quieter than Kohl's, I am really enjoying the slower (much slower) pace and still getting a chance to see people I know. My mom took a few pictures (of course)..........so, here ya go!!

Tis the Season!! Lights and Decor!!

Tonight after I got home from the first day at my secomd job, I finished up the deocrations on the bushes outside the house. Each year I am surprised how good it looks after I am finished! I take pride in my Christmas decor as you can tell! Here is how it all turned out.......

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We had family over as usual, took the family picture (and even got the dogs in) and chatted with Dan while he is on the road (tonight he is in Phoenix.........miss you!).
