Happy 10th Birthday Deirdre!
Well..............today my little girl hit the double digits! She is now 10 years old! I can't believe she is that old. We gave her the option of going to Olive Garden or seeing the movie "Beverly Hills Chuawa" (I know I must of misspelled it). She chose her favorite..........Olive Garden. She got roller skates and some dinosaur books and $20. Her party is this Saturday at Paradise Skate. So the roller skates will really be used this weekend! Here are a few pictures from today........ Deirdre asked me to make her a cake...............I think it came out very colorful!
With her roller skates...........
The dinosaur books from grandma!

Stay tuned for pictures from her party this Saturday! Should be great. Deirdre is looking forward to fun with her friends and family!!!!!!! Happy Birthday my "BIG" girl!!!!! I love you!

For Our Country......
This week at our Awana group and at church, we are having a Wall of Honor, It is for those who are serving our country whether it is over in Iraq or here in our own country. This is my friend, Martin Irons, class of 1992 from Antioch High School, fellow Explorer Scout and husband and father of 2. He is over in Iraq fighting for our freedom. However you may feel about the war, I am so proud there are those who are willing to go defend our country's honor. Martin is doing just that. Keep his family and his safety in your prayers................I know they are in mine and my families prayers. Thank you Martin!!

Deirdre's 4th Grade Picture
Just in..........Deirdre 4th grade picture. I love it, she looks so grown up! This has to be one of the best pictures she has taken at school. Before we know it, it will be her senior high school pictures. Oh my............I don't want to think that far ahead! Since she is my only child, this needs to slow down so I can enjoy her more!

Rainy Day at Apple HIll!
It is that time of the year again! Yes...........Apple Hill!!! On Saturday, Oct 4, me, Dan and Deirdre ventured up to Placerville to check it all out. With storm clouds and rain, we still enjoyed it! Deirdre fed goats, got her pumpkins and some apples. I got my fudge (like I needed it) and just enjoyed being with two very special people in my life!

Deirdre's Play Date with Delci and Addy!
After not seeing one another for quite sometime............Deirdre got a chance to play with Delci and Addy Smith. Their mom, Cheryl, and I have been friends since the 9th grade. You can see their little brother, Jacob, in the side of the picture below. He is a character himself!Addy, Deirdre, Delci and Jacob................having a blast!

The kids had lots of fun in the hour or so that they had together. They are looking forward to being able to play together again and hopefully for a bit longer!

Deirdre the Snake Wrangler!!
Most little girls are busy playing with Barbies, baby dolls, frilly dresses and things like that. Not my little girl! Her dream is to team up with Bindi Irwin (daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin) and wrestle croc's and wrangle dangerous snakes! So today after school I got a picture of her and her beloved snakes...........here they are............Deirdre and her precious snakes...........seems like they keep multiplying!
I am so proud of her and her love for animals and even her love for the dangerous and deadly animals. Steve Irwin would be mighty impressed with this young lady!!
